Welcome to the Brookfield-Immanuel United Methodist Charge. We are one congregation worshiping at two locations. We share a pastor, an organist, and the love of our savior, Jesus Christ. Whether you are full of faith or full of doubt; seeking peace in the presence of God or fellowship with a community of believers; come as you are, you have a place with us here today.
Our worship service begins at 8:30 a.m. at Brookfield church and at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel church. The doors generally open 15 minutes to a half hour before the service begins. Once a month we have a joint worship service at 10:00 a.m. The location for the 10 a.m. joint worship service alternates between the two churches (see Calendar and Events for the schedule).
Volunteers take turns leading the call to worship and reading the scripture lesson. We sing songs from hymnals found in the pews. An anthem is sung by the choir. Pastor Marianne Christofferson prepares a sermon and leads us in prayer. The offering is taken. On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate communion. Everyone is invited to participate in communion.
Children of all ages are welcome in worship. Members, guests, and visitors dress both formally and informally at both services.
There is time before and after the worship service to meet people around you. At Brookfield, our worship service is followed by a coffee hour in the back of the church, please join us! At Immanuel, Sunday school for all ages is before the worship service. Again, please join us!
