Hello everyone, I am Debbie Cooke the 2013 President of the Immanuel United Methodist Women.

Debbie Cooke - 2013 UMW PresidentDebbie Cooke – 2013 UMW President

If you know a graduate for this year please contact me at (301)579-2460 and let me know the name. We will have a graduation Sunday in May….. hurry, hurry so we can make all the plans.

Remember Mother-Daughter Banquet on May 11th, 2013 at 5:30 p.m.. Call Phyllis Decker for tickets.

As you all know the Women’s group does wonderful things in our neighborhood thanks to the leadership of Dot Borras for the past many years, she has agreed to be by my side for this year to lead me on so the GREAT things will continue to happen. What a dedication to her family, friends and her church she has shown, simply a WONDERFUL person and we are so lucky she is in our community. We all should shake her hand and thank her when we see her.

Look forward to working with all of you.
Bless you and yours.

I would like to take this opportunity to say “thank you” for your support shown me as President of Immanuel United Methodist Women for almost 20 years. It has been an honor and privilege to serve this wonderful group of ladies and our Church. Working together as a group, we have been able to accomplish many projects such as supporting the Church financially, Mother/Daughter Banquet, Father/Son Banquet, Community Support system, Baden School, our Sunday School, Easter Tokens and visits, Christmas Baskets and visits, making Fleece Blankets, support a Mission Child, helping families with luncheons after the loss of a loved one, to name a few. I will still remain active in the Women’s Group as secretary and assisting our new president, Debbie Cooke. Debbie will bring new ideas to our group and continue to carry on with the old ones. She will need your support to be able to do her new job well. Again, my heart-felt thanks to everyone who supported me as President of the Ladies Group.

In Christian Love,
Dot Borras
