BALTIMORE RESPONSE UPDATE – MAY 12, 2015

BALTIMORE RESPONSE UPDATE – MAY 12, 2015

Thank you for the ways in which you have responded to the needs of the people of Baltimore City and the ways in which you are continuing to be our Brothers and Sisters keepers in Baltimore.  The needs will be on going. We will share updates with you every Tuesday with opportunities to help for the week.

“Lord, turn our praises into hands that clothe the naked and feed the hungry, arms that comfort the afflicted, tables that host the stranger and shoulders that support the weary, so that your name may be praised. Come, Lord Jesus, and lead us into action.” (A Liturgy for Ordinary Radicals)

As we continue to speak Love, Hope, Life and Justice into the City of Baltimore, here are the opportunities to serve with the people and churches in Baltimore City this week:

Below is a wish list of supplies that are needed at Ames UMC. Their supplies are very low, so anything that you can secure on the wish list would be greatly appreciated.  They will be serving on the following days this week:

WEDNESDAY, 12 p.m. – volunteers needed at 10:30 a.m.

SATURDAY, 4 p.m. – volunteers to come at 2:30 p.m.

In addition, some volunteers are committed to a feeding program and partnership that feeds at 7 p.m. across the street at the homeless shelter with Bethel Church, and at the 83 overpass off of Center street, so volunteers are welcomed if they choose to help with those ministries.
